I was looking for news stories on craigslist for my reporting class when I came across this:

I am curious, how would you respond if this happened in your class? I'd probably just laugh along with the students as long as it didnt last too long.

I didn't see Dan's post until now. This is a discipline problem that Amy didn't talk about.
This pie-in-the-face prank has happened before. Not everyone is laughing. The student who is pied typically does not find this at all funny and expects the teacher to take action. So what if laughing isn't the appropriate action. What would you do?
What if the prank was posted on YouTube, and you the instructor were included laughing? What do you think the consequences could be?

Wow! That's horrible. Who would do something like this? I really don't know how I would respond. I guess I'd try to take the class back to the lecture, but I would assume no one will be in the mindset to return to class after that...
