Teachers at every level appreciate those students who let us know that they find our classes and out teaching helpful/interesting. We can't count on students telling us about their enthusiasm -- although a few do. Some think that being so expressive could be viewed by the teacher and/or classmates as insincere. Others don't realize that such comments are motivating to teachers.
